The membrane neutralises the stresses that build between the substrate and the tile covering, bridging tension cracks so they never transfer up into your finished floor. Its square, dovetailed recesses key firmly into thin-bed adhesive for an exceptional mechanical bond, while the anchoring fleece laminated to the underside locks into the adhesive bed below. EasyCut gridlines make the mat fast to cut and easy to unroll on site.
As a waterproof membrane with a high vapour diffusion seal, DITRA is well suited to bathrooms, wet areas and floors built over concrete, screed, timber and gypsum-based substrates, and it works seamlessly with underfloor heating. It’s installed into a suitable thin-bed adhesive using a notched trowel, with tiling laid directly over the top using the thin-bed method.
