Stone Effect Wall Tiles

Stone-effect wall tiles can give your rooms a natural, subtle look while reducing the need for added maintenance you’d typically find when installing natural stone. From darker tones to lighter shades, our range of stone-effect wall tiles can make intriguing contrasts across your home. Made from ceramic or porcelain, our collection at Tile and Stone Gallery can be used in a variety of rooms, such as the bathroom, kitchen, or as a feature above a fireplace, turning your home into a reflection of natural calmness that is welcoming for the whole family.

  • Are stone-effect wall tiles easy to maintain?

Stone-effect wall tiles are very easy to maintain, which is one of the major benefits over natural stone as they don’t require sealing. The maintenance required is simply a mild detergent and a damp cloth. We recommend avoiding harsh cleaners, such as bleach, as this can damage the glaze of your stone-effect wall tiles.

  • What is the key difference between stone-effect and real stone?

The key difference between real stone and stone-effect wall tiles is the ease of installation. Whilst we would always recommend using a professional tiler to install your wall tiles, as installing real stone requires significantly more time and effort compared to stone-effect tiles

    Q
  • Can stone-effect tiles be used in showers or wet rooms?

Yes, you can install stone-effect tiles in a shower or wet room. We stock a range of stone-effect tiles in either ceramic or porcelain. While porcelain is best for use in high-humidity areas, ceramic stone-effect tiles can also be used in a bathroom setting, especially around showers or baths. If you do wish to add additional water protection to your ceramic stone-effect tiles, we recommend using the Ardex WPC Waterproof Kit to protect your walls.
