We stock high-performance tile grouts from the leading brands in the industry, such as BAL, Ardex and Kerakoll, in a range of bag sizes, including 2.5kg for the smallest DIY jobs and up to 10kg bags for large tiling jobs.

  • How do I use tile grout?

    Firstly, you need to prepare the surface by cleaning the gaps in between each tile, and using a damp sponge to clean. Next, you need to mix the grout, following the bag instructions precisely, so the consistency is like peanut butter. You can then apply the grout between the tiles at a 45 degree angle, pushing the grout deep into the joints. Finally, and crucially, once the grout is mostly set, you can use a damp grout sponge to remove any excess.

  • Should grout be lighter or darker than the tile?

    There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to tile grout colours, as it really depends on the look and style you’re going for. If you want a small room to feel bigger, we’d recommend going for the seamless look and using a tile grout that closely matches the colour of your tiles, especially on floors. Whereas if you want each tile to stand out, you can either choose a tile grout that’s much lighter or darker.

  • Should I use 2mm or 3mm grout lines?

    Whether you choose 2mm or 3mm grout lines depends entirely on the look you’re going for within the room you’re tiling. Smaller 2mm grout lines will make for a seamless and classic look, whilst 3mm grout lines can make a room feel modern, with each tile standing out.

    Whilst it may seem relatively harmless, the most common grouting mistake is using too much water when cleaning tiles after grouting. Getting the grout too wet and diluting it, causing seepage and uneven tiles, which could crack.
